A sauna at ninety degrees and a wood-fired hot tub under the trees — the aurora overhead in winter, the sun still up at midnight in summer. Villa Sarva is a hand-cut log villa on its own forest plot above Sirkka, newly refurbished throughout in 2026. It sleeps ten.

Ten around one long pine table

The living room holds everybody at once — two sofas, the long pine table that seats ten when it is extended, and the stone fireplace that heats the whole upper floor. Built in beside it is a wood-fired oven: you can cook in it, and with a fire kept at the back, bake pizza. Firewood is included, split and stacked. Downstairs there is a cinema room for the dark afternoons — a snug with a large screen and sofa seating.

Sleeping

Three bedrooms, a mezzanine, and ten beds made up before you arrive

Two beds in each of the three bedrooms, and four more on the mezzanine above. The mezzanine — beds seven to ten — is reached through the first bedroom rather than off the landing, which makes it the natural floor for children, or for one family to take together. Every bed is made up before arrival, and there are cots if you need them.

Ninety degrees, then the sky

A proper Finnish sauna on the lower floor — electric stove, two bench levels, and a rinse room with two showers next door. Turn it on when you go out and it is ready when you come back. Then the hot tub outside, wood-fired and new for this winter, under the trees: the aurora above the spruce in winter, and in June a sky that never quite goes dark.

The forest

A forest that changes four times a year

Snow from November and dark enough for the aurora by four in the afternoon. By June the sun does not set at all; September turns the fells red and gold with the ruska. The track at the end of the drive carries skis in winter, and boots and bikes the rest of the year.

Levi ski lift is 1.4 km downhill: fourteen minutes on foot, two by car, or three on one of our Rossignol electric fat bikes — three of them, free for your stay, with helmets and child trailers. The ski bus stop is a ten-minute walk. Practical information has the timetables and the rest of it.

  • How far is Villa Sarva from the Levi ski lift?

    Villa Sarva is 1.4 km from the Levi ski lift — a fourteen-minute walk downhill from the end of the drive, about two minutes by car, or three minutes on one of the villa's three Rossignol electric fat bikes, which are free for your stay and come with helmets and child trailers. The ski bus stop is 850 m away, about ten minutes on foot. Levi centre and its shops are 2.7 km, and the track at the drive itself carries cross-country skis in winter, walkers and bikes in summer.

  • How many people does Villa Sarva sleep?

    Villa Sarva sleeps ten guests in three bedrooms and a mezzanine sleeping gallery: two beds in each bedroom, and four more on the mezzanine.     Yes, both. The villa has its own Finnish sauna in a dedicated wing on the lower floor — an electric stove reaching 90 °C, two bench levels seating six, and a rinse room with two showers next door — and a wood-fired hot tub outside, under the trees, newly installed for the winter of 2026/27. There is also a drying cupboard for ski and hiking gear. Both are for your party alone; nothing at Villa Sarva is shared with other guests.

  • How much does it cost to rent Villa Sarva?

    The whole villa is €680 a night in February and March (seven nights minimum), €520 a night in April (five nights minimum), and €790 a night for Easter week, 27 March to 5 April 2027 (seven nights, Saturday to Saturday). One price covers the whole house for up to ten guests — there is no per-person charge.

  • What is included in the price?

    Hot water and electricity are in the rate, along with firewood, the use of the three electric fat bikes, and the exclusive use of the villa, its sauna, its hot tub and its forest plot. Two things are charged on top: cleaning at €200 for the stay, and linen and towels at €10 a person. Nothing else is added.

    Villa Sarva stands on its own forest plot above Sirkka, away from the lights of the village, and the wood-fired hot tub sits outside under the trees — good conditions for watching for the aurora. It is dark enough by four in the afternoon through the winter months, and February and March are the peak of the aurora season here.

  • What is there to do around Villa Sarva in summer?

    At Levi the sun stays up around the clock for weeks either side of midsummer. Hiking and mountain-biking trails run from the end of the drive and across the fells above Sirkka, the lakes and rivers of Kittilä are within a few kilometres, and September brings the ruska, when the forest turns red and gold. The three electric fat bikes are free for your stay, and the sauna and the hot tub are as good at midnight in June as they are in February.

  • Is there a cinema room at Villa Sarva?

    Yes — a cinema room for the dark afternoons, downstairs from the living room: a snug with a large screen and sofa seating. Upstairs, the living room has a stone wood-burning fireplace with a wood-fired oven built in beside it, which you can cook in, and, with a fire kept at the back, bake pizza in. Firewood is included in the rate.

  • How do you get to Villa Sarva from Kittilä airport?

    Kittilä airport is about fifteen minutes from Villa Sarva by car. Rovaniemi is 170 km away. The villa has its own drive and parking, so a hire car is the simplest way to arrive — and if you would rather not drive, ask when you enquire and we will recommend a transfer or a taxi.

  • Is there a ski bus, and can you manage without a car?

    Yes. The ski bus stop is 850 m from Villa Sarva, about ten minutes on foot. Through the winter it runs roughly every half hour, from around nine in the morning until about seven in the evening, though the timetable is set fresh each season. The lift itself is closer than the bus stop — 1.4 km, fourteen minutes downhill on foot — and Levi centre is 2.7 km, a few minutes by bus or car and twenty-five to thirty minutes on foot in winter, mostly flat with a gentle climb on the way home. The three electric fat bikes are there for all of it.

  • What are the minimum stay and changeover days?

    Seven nights minimum in February, March and Easter week, running Saturday to Saturday in high season. April drops to a five-night minimum, and we are flexible on changeover days either side of the peak weeks.

  • When can I book, and how quickly will you reply?
